Home » Automotive » Classic Cars Join Sign in EzineArticles - Expert Authors Sharing Their Best Original Articles Search Paul B Busby Basic Author | 5 Articles Joined: November 8, 2013 United Kingdom The Mercedes Tuning - What Are The Reasons To Tune Your Vehicle? By Paul B Busby | Submitted On June 16, 2016 Recommend Article Article Comments Print Article We are very well aware of the shooting fuel prices in the market. Hence, it is crucial to tune your Mercedes, so that it delivers great mpg. There are many reasons of the Mercedes tuning like better acceleration, enhanced torque, great economy, more power, healthier engine etc. We have seen rapid growth in the technology in the field of automobiles. The super chip tuning technology is developed especially for the premium cars like Mercedes. The tuning is efficient for both the petrol and diesel version of car. It will ensure that your car gives best performance without any hassle. Importance of tuning Once the vehicle is tuned, it will reduce the emission and improve the performance by 15%. It is quite obvious that tuning will help your vehicle in multiple ways. However, you must tune the vehicle timely to avoid any inconvenience. The experts recommend visiting to the mechanic once in three months. The professionals will make sure that none of the part needs repairing. As the fuel prices have increased, so does the dependency on vehicles. It is crucial to keep your car in good shape. If you maintain the car properly, then the car will run efficiently for long years without any hassle. Else, it would require regular repairing that will ultimately lead to lower mpg and reduce the performance. What to consider while tuning the exhaust system? The exhaust system of the Mercedes includes a front pipe, exhaust manifold, catalyst converter, silencer, exhaust tip and tail pipe. While tuning the system, muffler is the easiest to deal. The professionals will replace the stock muffler with high performance muffler. As a result, you will get a free flow exhaust system. You must keep in mind that the inlet and outlet pipe of the muffler is of the same size as front and tail pipe. Check out the diameter of tail and front pipe. They must have same dimensions for better performance. Other terms of the exhaust system is a little complicated to understand. You must have knowledge of the engine's power band, exhaust back pressure and usable RPM. If excessive pressure is produced by the system, then it will have a negative impact on the performance of the engine. This will restrict the flow of exhaust gases. As a result, the engine will be inefficient to expel exhaust gases. Ultimately, it would lead to much reduced engine power. Dos and the don'ts Make sure that you never attach pea-shooter instead of the exhaust system to the engine. You must also not install a 10 inch wastewater pipe. In case the exhaust pipe is big enough, then it will lead to much reduced flow velocity of the gases. You have to keep in mind to get the exhaust back pressure perfect. While tuning the exhaust system, the professionals aim to increase the power of the engine by the right exhaust tuning. In order to get the best Mercedes tuning, you could prefer the paramount-performance. The well qualified team of experts has great experience in this field. Not only this, they have brilliant past records, which makes it even more convincing to deal with them. JEEP WRANGLER REVIEW 2017

Home » Automotive » SUVs Join Sign in EzineArticles - Expert Authors Sharing Their Best Original Articles Search Talha Arshad Dar Basic Author | 4 Articles Joined: March 26, 2015 Pakistan 2017 Jeep Wrangler Review By Talha Arshad Dar | Submitted On August 05, 2016 Recommend Article Article Comments Print Article Expert Author Talha Arshad Dar Introduction The Jeep Wrangler Unlimited is a medium-sized, compact car from the famous SUV manufacturer. Its design roots can be traced back to Willy's MB and Jeep CJ that used to be produced back in the early days of the SUV. The new Jeep Wrangler models have the traditional toughness you could expect from a Jeep yet gives an entirely refined appearance. The new 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited is expected to hit the showrooms later this year. So, let's give you a run-down of what you can expect from it and what changes are present from its earlier 2016 version as well as what its competitors are up to. Appearance The new 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited won't have a complete shift from its 2016 version that's for sure since any major design overhaul from the company invites scepticism from the auto lovers. Most of us have been used to the rugged frame, full throttle four-wheel drive and a pair of robust axles and so we can't expect anything too far-off. But, regarding the new model's materials used, Jeep is expected to use rendered Aluminium since it will make the car even stronger yet lighter. You can also expect the iconic folded down windscreen as well this time around! Any mechanical changes? Since Jeep has going on about it a while, we can possibly expect it in the 2017 edition, and that is the small matter of automatic transmission. The 2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited had 6-speed manual and 5-speed automatic transmission, and the problem was with the latter since the power breakdown wasn't enough to cater for the heavy requirements of an off-road vehicle. So, Jeep will increase it to an 8-speed automatic transmission this time around, and this will help improve the accelerator response and fuel efficiency on the go for the new car. Torque is expected to remain unchanged at 260 lb/ft. The same thrilling 4WD experience will also be continued (Like it is ever going to end!) Fuel Economy Thanks to the new 8-speed automatic transmission and body frame, the fuel efficiency of 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited is expected to increase significantly this time around. It can be as much as 1-2 mpg in manual transmission and 3-4 mpg in the automatic transmission. The car is expected to continue with 87-Octane fuel just like before. Any price concerns? They are expected to go up a little bit more than the yearly inflation rates since the change in the transmission and body would require more premium work. Price range from a manual transmission-based two-door Sport model @ $25,000 and a fully loaded Rubicon around $45,000 inclusive of the destination fee that was about $1,000 on its own. Competitors Nissan Frontier, Subaru Forester, Toyota Tacoma and Colorado from Chevrolet are just a few of the competitors you can expect to give a tough time to the Jeep's new and refined monster. But regarding fuel economy and pure thrill, who can come close to this beauty? When is the release date? The new 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited is expected to release by late 2016 or early 2017 according to carpreview.com. Keep viewing my EzineArticles account for more articles! #TOYOTA FORTUNER SUV REVIEW

Home » Automotive » SUVs Join Sign in EzineArticles - Expert Authors Sharing Their Best Original Articles Search Balakrishnan Lekshminarayanan Basic PLUS Author | 127 Articles Joined: July 7, 2016 India Toyota Fortuner 3.0 4WD Automatic By Balakrishnan Lekshminarayanan | Submitted On August 07, 2016 Recommend Article Article Comments Print Article Expert Author Balakrishnan Lekshminarayanan Introduction Noted automobile maker Toyota has been quite busy with SUV segment as it could do a good business in this segment. Despite its brisk business in this segment, the Fortuner was sitting idly by when other models such Rexton, CR-V, Yeti and the Santa Fe were getting sold as hot cakes in the market. The company did not do anything to improve the sale of its SUV to stay in contention. Of late, the company has finally given its top-end 3.0-liter 4WD variant an automatic gearbox so that vehicle lovers can finally have a capable Fortuner without having to change gears while driving. Is it enough to keep the big Toyota relevant in a sea of modern competition? We have to wait and see. Look and Feel When company decided to revamp the structure, Fortuner was given some small visual tweaks to make its outside appearance look better. The changes implemented include slightly smoked out head and tail lamps, and addition of chrome bezels in the fog lamps. It also has a new 12-spike dark grey alloy wheels to add to its external appeal. Moreover, the revamped model also comes in a totally new colour Mica Grey. Interior Design The interiors of the revamped model now come in all black themes with little wood varnish on the dash and door pads. The look is simple and rather muted. However, Toyota makes up for it by making sure that there are plenty of customer comforts. There is a lot of space in the middle row. Only catch is that the customers would have to fold up the third row seats to reach massive storage area on the rear side of the vehicle. Vehicle Specifications The new vehicle gets cruise control and auto xenon headlamps with washers to drive in dark and rainy conditions. It also comes with a reverse camera, power adjustable driver's seat and a new touch-screen for the dashboard. The much talked-about dashboard houses an infotainment navigation unit that features a voice control. This feature is a little slow to respond to the adjustments made. The facilities inside the SUV are connected using AUX, USB and Bluetooth options. Under the hood, the revamped vehicle comes with a 3.0-liter engine that can produce a power of 171PS and a torque of 343 Nm. Though the engine is smooth and punchy, it is still quite loud inside the cabin. With this engine specification, it can reach 100 kilometres per hour speed within 12 seconds. It also comes with a 5-speed torque converter that is similar to the one found in 4x2 variant. This article talks about the new features added by the automobile maker Toyota to rejuvenate its business in the SUV segment. Here, it brings out the additions and their reviews for the four-wheeler lovers. The readers can get similar reviews by visiting the link http://tvmbala.blogspot.com. HOW CAR DEALERS TRICK PEOPLE

Home » Automotive » Car Detailing Customization Join Sign in EzineArticles - Expert Authors Sharing Their Best Original Articles Search Anna Aria Guevara Basic Author | 1 Article Joined: September 6, 2016 Armenia Top 3 Dealer Tricks You Would Not Like to Meet With By Anna Aria Guevara | Submitted On September 16, 2016 Recommend Article Article Comments Print Article Expert Author Anna Aria Guevara Bait and Switch The old Bait and Switch is always there to help the scammers deceive car buyers. The scam works really easily; the dealer advertises a specific vehicle at a price that every buyer dreams about. Then, after the buyer is at the dealership, he/she is told that the advertised vehicle has been sold already. Then the dealer will push another vehicle with a higher price. In most of the cases, it works and the potential buyer agrees to buy another car at a higher price. As you might have already guessed, the cheaper vehicle does not even exist. The dealers use the illusion of it to just cheat unsuspecting car shoppers. The whole idea of the Bait and Switch scam is to lure the buyer and to bring them to the dealership. To avoid this scam, you should make a call to the dealership 15 minutes prior to visiting it. Call them and see whether they still got the car or not. You can even record the conversation to have evidence of their confirmation in case you need to file a claim against them. Contract Mistakes Contract mistakes are rarely made unintentionally. That's the reason why they are so common in vehicle purchase agreements. The salespeople can play with the numbers by adding a few numbers to either the purchase price or the down payment. One important thing here to help you avoid contract mistakes is to actually READ the contract. You do not want to be scammed, right? Then why not give some 10-15 minutes to read what is written? Also, make sure you do not skim the contract quickly; read it thoroughly and carefully instead. Also, make sure to ask for copies of whatever you are going to sign. Title Washing It's no surprise that vehicles can be flooded or can undergo some serious damage. As a result, they get a "salvage title" which means that they might be dangerous to drive. If a dealer sells you a Salvage title car without letting you know about its past life, then, most probably, you are in a trap. This is title washing and the only thing you can do to avoid it is using either Autocheck or CarFax to see what past life the car has. In other words, never buy a car without doing your own research. Do not rely on what the dealer tells you, rely more on the information you gathered independently. Also, make sure you read about another common dealer fraud tactic known as Odometer Rollback Fraud. TIPS FOR CAR RACING SUCCESS INSIDE THE MIND OF A PROFESSIONAL

Home » Recreation and Sports » Auto Racing Join Sign in EzineArticles - Expert Authors Sharing Their Best Original Articles Search Tim Lee Doyle Platinum Quality Author Platinum Author | 26 Articles Joined: September 3, 2012 United States Inside The Mind Of A Professional Race Car Driver - Tips For Success By Tim Lee Doyle | Submitted On June 29, 2013 Recommend Article Article Comments Print Article Expert Author Tim Lee Doyle Auto racing is a funny thing. I usually compare it to golf. A golfer can buy amazing clubs, the best golf balls, nice clothes, and professional golf lessons but still their score may not improve because of invisible forces within a person's mind which inevitably leads them to failure on the golf course. Racing teams can buy the best vehicle, tires, radios, pit equipment, matching clothing, and secure the best pit crew but these things will not solidify a podium finish. Obviously these things are needed to participate but if a driver can't finish a race is all for naught. Analyzing The Race Car Driver The key to auto racing victory lies inevitably inside the mind of a driver. Inside his/her mind are invisible personality traits that are engrained into the subconscious which dictate their reactions and foresight on the race track. A driver who is insecure will continuously not reach the podium because of their own personality traits. This type of driver seeks ego boosting moments instead of simply finishing races. Just like a competitive teenager, little passes and nudges by other drivers will trigger irrational decisions during pressure situations. Decisions that are less probable to have a positive outcome. A good example would be driving too fast into a corner in an attempt to retake a competitor causing their vehicle to become loose. A naturally talented driver is like a road visionary or a driving psychic. Almost like they can read other driver's minds on the race track anticipating every move made and avoiding crashes. The vehicle becomes an extended limb of the person as they feel their way around the track not just "driving". It's an emotional and spiritual experience for them. Subconsciously they can read a track like a good golfer reads a putt. It's impossible to fully explain all of these mental qualities but any experienced professional can attest to them. Tips To Help The Race Car Driver If the race team discusses a plan before a race this creates pit crew expectations. During the race the driver must abide by that preset plan or everyone becomes disconnected mentally in the pits. Every person will begin second guessing themselves as they try to brainstorm new tactics for pit stops. This will begin a slippery slope until there is a complete breakdown of teamwork. A crew chief must ensure the driver is adhering to the initial plan more than anything else! If the driver won't listen, they must be replaced or else the team will experience fuel mileage problems, tire issues, broken parts and frankly wasted money. For instance, if you say take it easy on the car and your driver is suddenly challenging the leader within ten minutes of the start. The driver is obviously completely ignorant to the "team plan" and feels he knows best. This is unacceptable. Pit crew members are knowledgable in their respective areas. Sometimes a pit crew member knows a specific track or race better than anyone, almost like a local golf caddy. A driver must be open to debate and ingest information from the crew. Information about vehicle performance, weather, the track, other drivers, tactics and more. If a driver is closed minded to this input the race is already lost. Listening to crew members and acknowledging their input drastically improves attitudes in the pits. This is a staple of championship teams. Remember to run your own race. You don't need to prove anything or show up your competition. Your team and your sponsors will be served the greatest by a podium finish, or at the least finishing. Positive momentum will be created heading into future races and excitement will grow among everyone involved rather than disappointments which have a negative effect. Focus on keeping the vehicle healthy and listening to your pit crew's advice. I spent a decade in the auto racing business working with off-road, road course, rally car, American Le Mans, and NASCAR minor league race teams. I have worked with over 50 different race teams and met over a thousand auto racing drivers. I have countless hours of driving instruction and race logistics planning experience. The majority of my career was spent with a Porsche race car builder in California. ELECTRIC CAR VERSUS TRADITIONAL CAR ENGINES

Home » Automotive » Hybrid Energy Efficient Join Sign in EzineArticles - Expert Authors Sharing Their Best Original Articles Search Megan E Boyer Basic Author | 2 Articles Joined: November 8, 2015 United States Electric Versus Traditional Car Engines By Megan E Boyer | Submitted On November 20, 2015 Recommend Article Article Comments Print Article According to the EPA, a majority of greenhouse gas emissions come from cars and trucks. In past years, gas from transportation is the second largest contributor. The United States' average commute is roughly 20 miles which translates to a 0.01 metric ton of carbon dioxide emitted for just one trip. Though seemingly small, this adds up fast throughout the year as everyone commutes. Out of all transportation, about 1,750,000 metric tons is emitted in a year. This statistic only includes the United States and is a dangerously high number. The consequences of all the air pollutants does not come at no risk. The large amount of carbon dioxide emitted every year is what experts believe is the cause of global warming. The warming can endanger our health and can cause extreme weather such as higher sea levels due to flooding and droughts. Because oil is a non-renewable resource, it will only become more difficult to obtain, which will make the burning of gasoline even worse. With all the seemingly negative effects of traditional car engines, there are some positives. Engines that run on gas will travel much further than an electric engine. All electric cars will only travel up to 100 miles on a full charge before needing to be plugged in again. If a consumer is not near somewhere they can charge, this can be a cause for concern to the individual. Charging stations have not become a commodity that is everywhere yet. Also, the price for a car with a combustion engine will be priced lower than that of a pure hybrid vehicle. The average price to buy the hybrid car brand new can reach up to $30,000, but a regular midsize sedan has an average price of around $18,000. Although electric vehicles are priced significantly higher than the others, they will typically last several years longer than a gasoline based car. A battery in the electric car will last up to 100,000 miles before needing to be replaced. With no engine to give maintenance to, money is saved through the lack of oil changes and upkeep. In addition, brakes will last notably longer therefore making it even more cost efficient. Lastly, and most important, zero emissions will flow out from the electric vehicle. Some emissions are exuded to make the electricity to charge the car, but it does not compare to the greenhouses gases put into the air through combustion engines. The demand for an all hybrid car has increased within the past decade, yet traditional cars still sell better. According to the EIA, electric cars sell at a very small fraction compared to gas cars. Yet, by 2040, the growth rate of electric cars is expected to be 11%, whereas conventional cars will only grow by 0.1%. Most family households are presumed to have the two types of vehicles in the future, one for traveling far distances and the other for riding around town. If these predictions are correct, transportation will no longer be a tremendous contributor of greenhouse gases and each individual's carbon footprint will not have as much of an impact on the environment. Home » Recreation and Sports » Auto Racing Join Sign in EzineArticles - Expert Authors Sharing Their Best Original Articles Search Morne Lourens Basic PLUS Author | 60 Articles Joined: December 1, 2010 South Africa Types of Tyres Suitable for Different Racing Conditions By Morne Lourens | Submitted On November 23, 2016 Recommend Article Article Comments Print Article Racing is an incredibly tense sport. It may not take a toll on you because you are always sitting but the car will definitely be affected. With all sports there are different types of sport equipment that could be used. For racing, tyres would be considered important. Racing tyres always have a low profile. The lower the profile the faster and more stable the car will be able to move. During rainy weather conditions you might want to get a tyre with a small form of tread; provided there is some friction to keep it firmly on the track. The more water there is on the road the higher chances the car will skid. In hot conditions a normal performance tyre will work well. The less tread the better. The only problem with extremely hot conditions is that with increasing heat the tyres could burst causing you to spin out. It would be wise to not use all-seasons tyres for all types of races. Rather use the tyres that are specifically designed for each weather condition installed on your car before the race. When you have all-seasons tyres you don't have a proper grip or you could have too little grip. When deciding on performance wheels you have to look at where you may be driving. If it's not inside an arena and just to show off to people on a normal road, the tread-less tyres are an absolute no. Normal roads are not designed for smooth rubber because of rain, snow and any other extreme weather conditions. Rather stick to the normal low profiles with the necessary tread depth. There are three main types of tyres for racing conditions that you'll find at a tyre supplier. Slick tyres have the most rubber in contact with the tar as they are the ones without treads. Rain tyres have an arrow-like tread pattern to guide the water away. Dry Asphalt tyres are perfect for the hot seasons with their slight tread as this can allow a small amount of cool air to pass through. Tyres are made specifically for the different forces and weather conditions and they are designed to endure particular conditions. Make sure that you use the correct type for any driving circumstance whether it's for racing or for normal day to day driving. Keep in mind that they need to be checked often whenever you have completed a tense driving session such as racing. These specs are the kind of thing that are almost like there's a second driver, and they're always one step ahead for you. Radar technology in the front will measure your speed and how close you are to another vehicle of obstacle in front of you. It will either warn you audibly and display the possible space in front of you on the front dashboard or apply its own independent pressure to the breaks if you are going below 25 mph in order to avoid a collision. That's a car that's on your side, and something a lot of other cars are missing. Reap the benefits of the In-Mirror Rearview mirror. From now on, your view behind you will be displayed crisply and more sharply for accurate viewing. The Altima is a great choice for easing the pains of getting in your car during the sweltering heat or icy-cold winter. Suddenly, your fob key just got a lot more powerful. Just use the buttons to remotely access which climate settings are the best for the day ahead. Is it humid with the sun beating down in August? ROBOT RACE CAR DRIVERS ARE COMING

Home » Recreation and Sports » Auto Racing Join Sign in EzineArticles - Expert Authors Sharing Their Best Original Articles Search Lance Winslow Diamond Quality Author Diamond Author | 31,175 Articles Joined: March 23, 2005 United States Robots Race Car Drivers - Yes, It's Coming By Lance Winslow | Submitted On September 11, 2013 Recommend Article Article Comments Print Article Expert Author Lance Winslow About five years ago, I wrote a very interesting article suggesting that the Google self-driving car would eventually be competing in NASCAR against human drivers. I laughed sometime later when on April 1 Google put out a joke video on YouTube stating that they were going to enter NASCAR and had sponsorship for their self-driving vehicle. I'm glad they liked my joke, and I'm sure everyone thought that was funny being as it was April Fool's Day, even if a large number of people probably figured it out. Okay so let's talk shall we? You see, there was a very interesting article in the Popular Science issue of October 2013. The article was titled "Traffic Patterns - Robots Can Already Outright Humans - Now Everyone Needs to Get out of Their Way," by Adam Fisher. In the article they took us into this probable future. Perhaps you've seen the Google car driving through a parking structure in Silicon Valley dodging concrete barriers, driving at 35 miles an hour, the video I watched had a person in the right seat along for the ride who was scared out of their wits, not knowing if the car could negotiate at that speed. The car was driving faster than a human could probably negotiate, and it was doing it all with sensors and high speed processing. It makes sense that a car would be able to do this, because the United States Navy has Jets which take off from an aircraft carrier and readjust the elevator pitch 15 times per second, faster than any human pilot could do it and that prevents buffeting on takeoff. The United States Navy now has UAV drones which can land on the ship totally autonomously, as well as do aerial refueling. What I'm saying is we have the technology to build race cars which don't make mistakes, sense the other cars around them, could prevent crashes, and make the best decisions based on a decision matrix artificially intelligent program with all sorts of parameters. Can a human being drive that precisely for a 500 lap race? Most likely not. Further, if these computer systems can outperform racecar drivers, surely they can outperform a mom with three kids in the car distracting her all the way to the grocery store, or an old man driving home from the doctor, or someone who's had too much to drink from a local watering hole, or eventually a taxicab driver, limo driver, bus driver, and well, you are starting to get the point. I hope you enjoy driving your car now, because in the future you may not be allowed to. Further, once our cars start flying, as in personal flying craft, I'm pretty sure the authorities aren't going to want you to crash into anyone else while you're up there flying around. The robots are going to be in the driver seat, and you'll just be along for the ride. Please consider all this and think on it. MONACO GRAND PRIX THE FALLOUT

Home » Recreation and Sports » Auto Racing Join Sign in EzineArticles - Expert Authors Sharing Their Best Original Articles Search Elle Haus Basic PLUS Author | 13 Articles Joined: June 24, 2014 Australia 2016 Monaco Grand Prix: The Fallout By Elle Haus | Submitted On June 06, 2016 Recommend Article Article Comments Print Article Expert Author Elle Haus The Monaco Grand Prix never fails to disappoint; the glamorous yet challenging street circuit separates the men from the boys, and is the race all drivers desire to win. With its limited overtaking opportunities some spectators consider this prestigious race to be boring, however they underestimate the complexity of the sport's slowest and most difficult circuit. Whilst narrowly swerving around the streets of the Principality, drivers are challenged with tight corners and numerous elevation changes as they negotiate their way through the tight and twisty track, tackling the hazardous hairpins and treacherous tunnel. This year's race was spectacularly unpredictable. After the sun shone down on this glittering playground for the rich and famous during practice and qualifying, the rain fell on race day forcing a Safety Car start and put pressure on the team's strategies as the changing conditions meant the timing of tyre stops would be crucial. A year on from a monumentally bad pit stop call by Mercedes that cost Lewis Hamilton victory, this time it was Red Bull Racing's turn to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. For the second race running, Daniel Ricciardo was left fuming at being robbed - he felt - of the chance at victory by a strategic bungle at the hands of his team. The Australian's woes headlined a weekend that he and the team could - and should - have dominated, but to be truthful that wasn't the only driver/team combination that suffered a significant strain in their relationship this weekend... MERCEDES AMG PETRONAS Tension continued to grow as the rivalry between the team's two Championship contenders increased when Nico Rosberg again out-qualified and out-classed Lewis Hamilton during qualifying. The German, hoping for his fourth victory in a row at his adopted home race, started second on the grid with his teammate in third after Hamilton suffered a fuel pressure problem during Q3 that limited him to a single run on the Ultra Soft tyres. When the racing started on Lap 8, Rosberg struggled to generate the correct tyre temperature. By Lap 16 his pace was dismally slow and he gave up his place to his rival and teammate, citing brake issues as the reason for his lack of pace and eventual seventh-placed finish. Hamilton set off to chase down the Red Bull of Daniel Ricciardo who pitted on lap 23 to switch from his wet tyres to intermediates, while the reigning World Champion gambled on forgoing the intermediate tyre choice between the full wets on which he started the race and the untreaded slicks. He masterfully managed his wet tyres until changing to the ultrasoft slicks on lap 34. Red Bull followed suit, calling the Australian in for a change to the Super Softs; incredibly however a miscommunication meant the tyres weren't ready and the delay cost Ricciardo the lead. The fight was on between the Mercedes and the Renault powered Red Bull Racing RB12. Hamilton held off any challenge from Ricciardo, although the pressure was on when the Briton, losing time and traction behind a backmarker, overshot the chicane on Lap 37. Ricciardo got a run on him as they reached the exit and vented his anger and frustration when Hamilton blocked him, legally as declared by the stewards after an investigation. After that he never really got close enough again to challenge, and Hamilton stormed to his 44th Formula 1 victory and second Monaco crown. RED BULL RACING It should have been a dream weekend for Daniel Ricciardo. After a strategy switch at the previous race in Spain cost him victory, the Australian was on fire during practice and qualifying in Monaco, securing his first ever Formula 1 pole position and the most crucial pole on the sport's calendar. With the Safety Car start to the race, the Australian's position could not be challenged. Even when racing began after the track started to dry out, it appeared all he had to do was lead the pack around the circuit for 78 laps to victory. But there is no such thing as a "sure thing" in Formula 1 and when he was called in by the team to switch to dry-weather tyres he expected them to be ready and waiting for him; but they were not. An inexcusable miscommunication within the team saw Ricciardo lose valuable seconds on a botched pit stop which ultimately cost him the race. As for Red Bull's newest recruit, what a difference a fortnight makes. Max Verstappen, fresh from his maiden Formula 1 victory in Spain, was forced to start the race from pit lane after crashing in qualifying when he clipped the front right wheel of his car on the exit of the Swimming Pool. With the help of the Safety Car start, the young Dutchman was able to catch the back of the pack and started to make progress once the field was released, charging his way to tenth position. But Monaco is an unforgiving circuit, especially for such a young and inexperienced driver. Despite appearing comfortable and confident in the tricky conditions, the 18-year-old made a mistake on the climb to Massenet, locking up his brakes and crashing into the wall. It was his third accident in two days - and his second at that corner - which took plenty of gloss off the youngster's heroic performance two weeks' prior. SCUDERIA FERRARI After qualifying a disappointing sixth, Kimi Räikkönen was relegated to eleventh on the grid after a five place penalty for a gearbox change made after final practice. Struggling to get any grip in the wet conditions, he understeered off at the hairpin on Lap 11, striking the barriers and breaking his front wing. He limped through the tunnel to the Nouvelle Chicane with the wing lodged under his front wheel, but escaped penalty when later facing the stewards for continuing to drive with his Ferrari in a dangerous condition. Teammate Sebastian Vettel still brought home the points in fourth place, but it was a disappointing weekend for the German. After topping the time sheets in the final practice session, he was unable to match the speed of his former teammate's Red Bull and again found himself lining up on the second row of the grid. He attempted to undercut the cars in front by pitting before any of the top-ten runners to change to intermediate tyres as the track started to dry out. This left him behind the Williams of Felipe Massa who opted to stay on the wet tyre and Vettel struggled to pass him. By the time Massa did pit, the four-time World Champion had lost too much time and found himself behind Sergio Pérez who had moved his Force India up from an eighth place start to third. Although a podium place was within Vettel's reach, he was unable to find the space to pass. THE UNANSWERED QUESTIONS Mercedes, Red Bull and Ferrari each potentially have a vacant seat up for grabs in 2017. Nico Rosberg is still to negotiate a new contract with Mercedes and will neither confirm nor deny he has had talks with Ferrari. After bowing to team orders in Monaco and moving over for rival Lewis Hamilton, can the German endure another season in what has become a highly strained situation at the Sliver Arrows? Rosberg is happy when he is winning, but if Hamilton's victory at Monaco is the start of his 2016 resurgence, can Rosberg withstand the pressure? Exact details of Ricciardo's performance based contract are unknown, but it is thought that the option for next year is dependent on the performance of both the driver and the team meaning either could have the option to part ways. Red Bull has "screwed" the Australian two races in a row now and any further issues could be the last straw for the Honey Badger. But where could he go? The only teams of calibre are Mercedes and Ferrari. Mercedes, for the most part, are big on letting their drivers race and not employing team orders so that could be a good fit. But is Lewis Hamilton as a teammate a good fit for Ricciardo? Whereas at Ferrari, although Ricciardo showed in 2014 that he is not intimidated by a four-time World Champion as a teammate, Vettel is the de-facto Number 1 at Ferrari and will not welcome being pitted against the driver who resoundingly thrashed him in identical machinery during their last year together at Red Bull Racing in 2014. Ferrari is yet to exercise the option on Räikkönen's contract, although Vettel has reportedly - and not surprisingly - stated the Finn is his preferred teammate. But how much pull does the German still have with the Scuderia? Is their patience running out? Or do they accept they are still in a rebuilding phase and may have to wait another year or two before their Number 1 driver returns them to the glory of old. As we move into the Formula 1 silly season, only time will tell. Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/expert/Elle_Haus/1934469 0 Comments | Leave a Comment Did you find this article helpful? Irrespective of whether there is a connection to a reliable electricity grid or not, there are certain sectors where constant electricity availability is absolutely crucial and the risks emerging from unscheduled power outage is immense. Although, the use of the conventional lead acid battery is popular, the maintenance of the same has to be regular without which the decline of its performance is rapid. Thus, several industries are increasingly making use of the non-maintenance VRLA battery. Low maintenance and long lasting The battery is specially designed to be used for a long time without the need for constant maintenance. For a backup power system VRLA battery is among the most feasible option as it ensures that a battery doesn't need to be changed or serviced regularly. Such batteries can last for several months or even years without any supervision. Reliability unparalleled This battery has low self-discharge features because of which it can reliably provide backup for several hours. It's internally built cyclic and float design eliminates almost all chances of gas leaking from the battery by constantly reusing the internally present chemical in the most efficient manner. Unlike ordinary lead-acid batteries, the VRLA battery can keep on working for many years without any maintenance because of the use of oxygen-recombination technology. Because of its special leakproof design, it is also able to provide backup without any emission of corrosive gas or acid. Usable across various environments Whether power backups are required in urban settings with reliable electricity grid or some rural area without an electricity grid, the VRLA battery can be a really feasible. The batteries are designed to work even around hostile environments where temperatures reach can reach extremely low or high and where the access to electricity grid isn't easy. In addition, most VRLA batteries are very compact and lightweight, because of which it's can easily and conveniently be carried across several miles. Applicable with various modern solar systems This can work reliably with solar as well as grid electricity. It's perfectly built to handle the demands of various industries including telecom equipments, UPS systems, fire alarms & security systems and emergency lighting among a few. They have also been reliably used with solar based street lights and the station power system. Any modern system that requires a portable power source can greatly benefit with the application of VRLA battery. Several variants available To meet the demands of customers, leading battery companies produce several variants of VRLA batteries available in market. From larger models that can provide backup to telecom towers and emergency rooms to smaller models that can be used with flashlights, customers can choose the models that could fit their needs. Thus, take the wise choice and choose the maintenance-free VRLA battery. Rosario Berry is a professional freelance writer, like to introduce First Power Korea. CLASSIC CARS OF THE FUTURE BUY IT NOW

Classic Cars of the Future - The Time To Buy Is Now!

Classic Cars of the Future - The Time To Buy Is Now!
By Laure Justice

Classic cars provide a unique investment opportunity for the long-term investor, but to really make the best of it, a bit of trend-watching can help increase the return on investment. It's an old saying that everything in life goes in cycles, and it is no different with the classic car market, though the cycles may be longer than the average investor is expecting.

A Special Type of Investment

First though, one thing that makes buying old cars a unique investment opportunity is, these stand-out vehicles are eye-catching and fun to drive. Owning one is more than just owning a valuable car, it is - or can be - a statement, and often part of a fond memory of a time that has passed in one's life.

Bought It Because You Loved It...

If purchased as part of a fond memory or because of a special affinity for a certain car, it may be hard to let go of when it's time to turn it over for sale. This is not an ideal situation when buying these machines for investment value, but that doesn't mean it doesn't work. It just makes it a bit harder to let go, but at least owning it for a time is enjoyable.

Buying Purely as Investment

This is where trend-watching comes into play as a valuable tool for an investor. Classic cars are only going to increase in value as they become more and more scarce, but there are still going to be ups and downs in the prices. Adding seasonal trends and long-term trends to your understanding of this market will let you earn the highest return on your investment dollars.

Seasonal Trends

Watching seasonal trends will give you an idea of the best time to buy or sell for short-term investing, and it's fairly basic. Warm weather means summer vacation, car shows, and road trips for many people, so warm months are when demand is the highest - and prices are highest then, too.

While there are always exceptions to every rule, you are most likely to get the lowest prices during cold months. So, typically, you would want to buy when it's cold and unpleasant outside and sell when demand is high in summer months.

Long-Term Trends

Long-term trends are harder to identify when it comes to cars, but you can use a web tool, like Google Trends, or another analytic tool to use Internet searches as a guideline. If you set the tool to show searches for a specific type of classic car, for example, you can see if it is presenting as a downtrend, an uptrend, or if it has flatlined.

Nothing Is Written in Stone, but...

Ideally, if you see a downtrend of about fifteen or twenty years when you look at the long-term history for a specific type of vehicle, it should be due to begin an upward trend, so buying at a low point in the trend gives you the greatest likelihood of making a profit when you are ready to turn over your long-term investment in a piece of vintage iron.

Due to the massive response we get from our cars in the States we have added this dedicated section to our website. Here you will find answers to many of your questions regarding the self-assembly supercars we offer and the ways in which you can order and build them from a kit package. If you cannot find the information you're after, please e-mail us and we will get back to you as soon as possible. AVAILABLE Factory assembled cars are one thing but we appreciate that many enthusiasts enjoy the build experience as much as the finished product and, in this instance, we feel it is important that you deal direct with us here in the UK. Nobody knows more about the assembly of an Ultima than the guys that build them at the Hinckley factory. TYPICAL KIT PACKAGE As with UK specification kits, overseas customers can purchase anything from a base chassis package to a comprehensive kit including every last nut and bolt required for the build. No matter what level of kit you order, all parts are carefully packaged and clearly marked for easy storage and subsequent assembly by the builder. Each build stage supplied is 100% complete containing every last nut and bolt required to complete that section which makes the build extremely straightforward. EASE OF BUILD The Ultima requires neither a great degree of engineering ability, nor any specialized equipment to complete. The cars are designed by the factory to be assembled by a builder who has only basic automotive knowledge and an elementary tool kit. The majority of our customers have never built a car before and have successfully completed their Ultimas to an excellent standard. The average build period for an Ultima Evolution is six months (on a part time basis) but the whole idea of building this supercar is to take your time and enjoy the build. The UK factory fully builds several cars per year to order, which means the assembly process has been finely tuned and the kits are fully sorted and proved. Ultima self-assembly supercars must be the only originally designed component cars that use all new parts and are developed specifically for the enthusiast to build in his garage at home. ULTIMA ENGINEERING As the specialist areas of the build have already been carried out by the factory there is no welding or fabrication required. All the brackets required to fit the different components have been designed, fabricated and tested by the factory and are included in the kit. Also, all the parts that the factory supplies are new so require no cleaning, degreasing, de-rusting or further preparation prior to assembly. At the factory we have a no compromise attitude when it comes to the components used within the car. All parts used in the construction of an Ultima have been specially made either by ourselves or for us by highly experienced engineers and motorsport specialists. You can get some idea of the lengths we have gone to by checking out the Ultima Evolution Components section of this website. In this respect we are almost unique within the world kit car industry because we do not salvage parts from other production cars - everything used in the construction of an Ultima has been designed specifically for the job. ENGINE The choice of power plant for the Ultima Evolution is the all-American Chevy small block LS V8. Ranging from 350bhp to 1020bhp. It's simply the ideal engine for the Ultima. What's more, because of its mid-mounted location behind the driver and in front of the rear wheels the mass of the engine is ideally placed in the car - providing optimum weight distribution for top-flight handling and road holding and where power can be delivered to the road cleanly and with the minimum of fuss. This is a package that delivers at every level. INSTRUCTIONS The Ultima Evolution Coupe and the Ultima Evolution Convertible build manual are supplied as a CD which contain step by step instructions as well as over 2000 detailed photos, illustrations and exploded views of the build process. This is automatically sent out to all Ultima customers at the point when a firm order has been received. FACTORY SUPPORT The Ultima factory is open six days a week and our staff are always keen to speak to customers, find out how their builds are progressing and guide them through any areas where they may feel they need assistance and advice. Furthermore, with the onset of e-mail and digital photography we are able to ensure that overseas customers will receive the same high standards of back up and service that are currently available to our UK customers. ON THE STREET Registration procedures vary from State to State but generally involve the builder keeping all receipts and having a police inspection of the car once it is complete (aimed largely at establishing clear ownership of the car). The factory will provide all the paperwork in this respect. In the UK the Ultima has already been designed to pass the stringent IVA test (Individual Vehicle Approval). The car must then be taken to your nearest State approved service centre for further technical inspection. Finally, both police and garage certificates must be presented at your nearest registration office where the car will be registered as a self-built car. However, we must stress that you should check clearly as to the specific requirements in your State.
