Launched almost a year back during the last week of April 2016 the Tiago succeed in impressing all the segments of car enthusiasts in India that recently its AMT version was launched in Indian car market. Interestingly, now once again, after successful launch of Hexa SUV in India this year, the car maker is again in lime light due to its forth coming compact sedan Tigor, which is slated for launch in global market on March 29, 2017. Developed on the same IMPACT Design philosophy the Tigor is reported to carry most of the cues from its elder sibling Tiago. Recently, the bookings of the same have been commenced by the car maker. prior to this its prototype had been showcased during the Indian Auto Expo 2016 where it impressed all the segments of car lovers. Therefore going through the response received by the audiences during Auto Expo 2016 it is speculated that Tigor will also repeat the same success story as enjoyed by the Tiago. Well, the actual picture of this compact sedan will be known after its launch, but going through the desire of our esteemed readers to know about its features and specifications we are trying to highlight some of the known facts associated with the Tata Tigor to satisfy their hunger. Engine: Like Tiago, Tigor will be also launched in both petrol and diesel variants. The petrol variant is reported to be empowered with 1.2 litre Revotron engine that is capable for boosting the power of 84 bhp and torque of 140 Nm, it will be mated with five speed manual transmission system and is reported to deliver an average of 24 kmpl. The diesel variant will be energized with 1.05 litre turbo three cylinder diesel engine that will generate the power of 69 bhp and torque of 140 Nm. It will have displacement capacity of 1047cc and is reported to deliver an average of 28 kmpl and the transmission duties in this variant will also be undertaken by five speed manual gear transmission system. Looks and Design: As reported above, the Tigor is developed on the same platform used for the Tiago, therefore it carries most of its features similar to it with some tweaks. To make it look different from Tiago it receives newly developed front hexagonal grille accomplished with headlamps with projector low beam and halogen high beam lights. The petrol trim adorns 15 inch diamond cut and black, dual colored alloy wheels. The diesel variant receives 14 inch alloy wheels. But, when you will move towards its rear portion you will notice bunch of notable changes in form of new bumper, enlarged bootlid and many more. Interior and Comfort Features: Moving inside the cabin, you will notice that the dashboard is similar to Tigao but one thing which will definitely grab your attention is enlarged boot space. Moving towards distinctive features it will bestow touchscreen infotainment system with Mirrorlink, not only this you will also find Apple CarPlay and Android Auto Play feature offered in the Tigor. The top end trims will receive automatic climate control system, reverse camera and many more. It will be offered with two driving options of Eco and City mode. Expected Price: It is speculated to be priced in the range varying from Rs. 4 lakh to Rs. 5 lakh ex-showroom. Tata Motors has started the bookings for the Tigor with a token amount of Rs. 10,000 for its customers. With India launch of Tata Tigor, the company will put a tough competition for the already available Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire, Honda Amaze and Hyundai Xcent.
